Health Centre for children age 0-5 The infant healthcare programme for children aged 0-5 years is a free service for children and parents. You are offered 14 consultations at the health centre. You can always contact the health centre when you need to. We give parental guidance about breastfeeding, nutrition, the importance of interaction, sleep, vaccinations, dental hygiene, birth control, and more. How to book an appointment? The child is invited to regular consultations and checks. The next consultation will be agreed from one consultation to the other. You can also book an appointment when needed. Consultations at the health centre Infant healthcare programme New-borns and home visits All new parents are automatically offered a home visit from a health nurse after birth. Groups You will receive information about groups at your health centre. In these groups you will meet others who have given birth around the same time as you. Physical and occupational therapists If you are worried about your child’s development, you can contact the health centre who will refer you to a physical or occupational therapist.
