A carer certificate is a card, which gives the accompanied carer discounts at cultural and recreational events, in transport, and other places where the scheme is accepted.
Who can get a carer certificate?
Carer certificates are intended for people with an illness or disability who need assistance or a carer with them in order to attend events.
A carer certificate may for example be appropriate for people with the following:
- Physical impairment
- Hearing impairment
- Visual impairment
- Developmental disability
- Allergy
- Disability as a result of illness, such as mental disorder, heart disease, lung disease, and more
How to apply
Fill out the application form (lenke)
The people at the service centre can give you information and guidance.
You need a passport photo, and a statement from a general practitioner, doctor, public health institution or the municipality’s health and social department, which confirms your disability.
What happens with your application?
The service centre will process your application.
You will then receive an answer as to whether you have been assigned the service or not.
We will send the carer certificate in the post.
What does it cost?
It is free of charge to get a carer certificate.
It is up to the individual organizer or transport company to decide whether they accept the carer certificate and what discount the carer certificate gives.
Some will charge the cardholder the full price if the companion goes free of charge.
