Social studies

A course where you learn about Norwegian culture, working life in Norway, the school system, the health system and other topics

  • The course is 75 hours long and is for those who are obliged to complete the course. 
  • The course will be given in a language you understand and ends with an test in social studies
  • You must be a resident of Tønsberg or Færder municipalities to participate

How to apply

  • If you already are an participant at Tønsberg Learning Centre, please contact your teacher.
  • If your not an participant at Tønsberg Learning Centre,  please contact the school by telephone 33 40 68 00 or send an e-mail to tl@tonsberg.kommune.no.

 

From the time the residence permit is granted; you have 1 year to complete classes and take the test. If participating in a course is not suitable for you, you can read for yourself at samfunnkunnskunnskap.no

If you are entitled to a free trial, you must contact us when you are ready, we will sign you up. If you have taken the test before or are not entitled to a free trial, you must register for the test yourself at kompetansenorge.no
