This is an alternative to FOV. You have the acquired competence from primary and lower secondary school but lack the documentation.
Prior experiential learning comprises all the formal or informal competence a person has acquired through education, work and running business. It is necessary to get an assessment of the prior experiential learning if you want to seek admission to an upper secondary school without necessary documents which can prove that you have finished primary and lower secondary education in one or several subjects.
When you apply for an assessment, you need to make an overview of your prior experiential learning. In the application you need to give the information about your earlier education, relevant working experience and what you want to be assessed.

This offer is for those of you who have professional experience and/or schooling you cannot document. Assessment of Prior experiential learning is then a great way to show what you can do
What you get
- Assessment is given in the subjects Norwegian, mathematics, English, natural science and social studies
- Assessment is conducted in Norwegian and it is assessed whether the competence is equivalent according to FOV curriculum
- The results of the assessment will be "passed"or "not passed"
- The result passed is equivalent to a diploma from FOV
